What is TryMyBag?


TryMyBag is a marketplace based platform where people who want to send or receive packages to and from different locations and people who are travelling to and from those locations, and are willing to deliver those packages, can connect to each other.




How does it work?


The user who wants to send or receive packages will be known as the “Sender” and the user who is traveling and is willing to deliver the package will be known as the “Traveler”. The Sender will create/upload the Packages in the app and the Traveler will create/upload the Travel Plans in the app.

Based on the travel plans and packages that the traveler and sender create according to their destination and package needs, the app will match these together by same city of origin and destination.
The Sender and the Traveler will negotiate a commission and Accept the Deal. After the Deal is accepted, the Sender will pay through a secure payment gateway. TryMyBag will withhold the payment until the Delivery is Confirmed.

When the Traveler and the Sender both confirm the Package is safely delivered to its destination, the money will be credited to the linked bank account of the Traveler. As a transactional fee for the use of the platform, Trymybag will charge a 10% fee out of the Package commision to the Sender and deduct a 3% fee on the commision to the Traveler.




Can I be a Sender and a Traveler at the same time?


Yes, you can be a Sender and a Traveler and create Packages to send or receive them or Travel Plans to deliver packages to other users.




What is a Travel Plan, how can I create it?


A Travel Plan is the Traveler's journey or travel itinerary from a location “A” to a location “B” on a specific date. For example, a Travel Plan would look like this: Madrid to New York on the 4th of July 2019.
Only with a Travel Plan created will the user be able to see and negotiate the packages that are available to deliver with a matching origin and destination.

You can create a Travel Plan at the “Home” screen or from the dropdown menu on the upper left corner of your screen under the “Traveling” option.




Where can I edit or delete a Travel Plan?


To edit or delete a Travel Plan you can do it on the “You” screen under “My Travel Plan”. By clicking on the pencil icon to edit or the trash icon to delete. This can only be done if you have not Accepted a Deal.




What is a Package, how can I create it?


A Package is the parcel that needs to be delivered. TryMyBag offers two options: 1) Purchase and delivery. 2) Delivery For example, a new Package post will look like this: Origin and Destination: Madrid to New York Package title: Computer Image/Picture: A Picture of the computer (you can either get it from the ecommerce you want the traveler to purchase the computer from or taking a picture of the computer you want the Traveler to deliver at a specific location). Size: Carry On, Checked or Oversized Deliver Before: 3rd of July, 2019 Description: I forgot my laptop on Madrid and I need it on New York before the 4th of July! Budget: USD $100 Quantity: 1 Delivery options: Delivery
Only with a Package created will the user be able to see and negotiate with Travelers that are available to deliver with a matching origin and destination.

You can create a Package on the “Home” screen or from the dropdown menu on the upper left corner of your screen under the “Sending” option.




What is the date field for?


Deliver Before: This is a tentative date the Sender would like the Package to be Delivered.




What does “Purchase and delivery” or “Delivery” means, how does that work?


Delivery options: If the Package needs to be bought by the Traveler then the Package will show the “Purchase and delivery” option with the items price included plus the commission. If it is only for its Delivery then the Package will show the “Delivery” option with the commision.




Where can I edit or delete a Package?

Can I enter a particular address point to recieve or send my package?


Yes, you can enter a particular address to receive or send your packages.




What is the “Home” Screen for?


That is the start of the process where you will get to create both Travel Plans and Packages.




What is the “Explore” Screen for?


The Explore screen allows you to see what are the Packages that match the Travel Plans you have created or the Travel Plans that match the Packages you have created. It will also allow you to see the offers that other Packages have received from Travelers.




What is the “You” Screen for?


That is your dashboard to keep control of every transaction you make through the app. You will be able to keep track of the Packages and Travel Plans you have created as well as to follow-up on them. This screen will also enable you to keep a record of the previous Packages and Travel Plans you have already sent and delivered.




What is the currency TryMyBag is using?


The currency TryMyBag manages is US dollars.




Can I pay in other currencies?


At the moment we have not enabled to platform to receive or disburse payments in other currencies different from US Dollars.




Can I contact the traveler/Sender before I get to pay/accept the deal?


The app has a chat/inbox functionality that allows you to communicate with the Traveler/Sender before you get to accept/pay the deal.




Where do I see the packages I have created?


There are two ways for you to keep track of your packages: - Through the “Explore” Screen: To be able to see who are the travelers matching your packages you will click on the “Travelers” button and just below at the drop down menu you will get to select the packages you have created to see who are the travelers that match your packages. - Through the “You” Screen: You can go to the “You” menu at the bottom of the screen and click on “My packages”.




How do I follow up on the packages I have created?


Go to the “You” Screen that is just at the bottom of the screen and once there click on “My packages”. You will see the packages that require an action on your part , by noticing if they have pending notifications to review. If they have, then you will click on the “Bell” icon with the pending notification on it and it will allow you to complete the rest of the process.




Where do I see the Travel Plans I have created?


There are two ways for you to keep track of your Travel plans: -Through the “Explore” Screen: To be able to see what are the packages matching your Travel plans you will click on the “Packages” button and just below at the drop down menu you will get to select the Travel plans you have created to see what are the packages that match your Travel plans. - Through the “You” Screen: You can go to the “You” Screen at the bottom of the screen and click on “My Travel plan”.




How do I follow up on the Travel plans I have created?

You will see the Travel Plans that require an action on your part, by noticing if they have pending notifications to review. If they have, then you will click on the “Bell” icon with the pending notification on it and it will allow you to complete the rest of the process.




How do the notifications work ?


TryMyBag will send you notifications to your mobile device according to your preferences. You will modify those preferences in the “You” screen on the settings option located at the upper right corner of the screen. These notifications will tell you the following: if there are packages or travel plans that match your own travel plans or packages created. If a user has sent you an internal message. If a user has sent you an offer If a user has accepted your offer If a user has sent you a new offer If a user has accepted a new offer. If the traveler has already picked up the package If the traveler is on his/her way to deliver the package If the traveler has already delivered the package. If the sender has confirmed the successfully delivery of the package.




Where do I turn on/off the notifications I am receiving?


You will get to turn on/off the notification at the Settings option in the “You” screen, under the Notifications option. There are certain notifications that will enable you to know the status of your Package so that the transaction can be successfully closed and the Traveler gets his payment. These type of notifications will not be able to be turned off.




What is the “Distance preference” feature for?


This feature will enable you to define how far you want the application to locate Packages/Travel Plans within your locations´perimeter.




How to cancel a Deal that has been Accepted?


You will only be able to cancel the Travel Plans or Packages that have not been accepted by the other users. If that is not the case, please contact TryMyBag and we will manage that case internally according to the situation.
